Vanilla Moscow Mule


What is Moscow Mule? My interested to learn more about Moscow Mule since I found some article on the internet site related with vanilla vodka and Moscow Mule. Is Moscow Mule a drink recipe? What the history of Moscow Mule and why there is vanilla vodka on Moscow Mule? Finally I found the answer if Moscow Mule is cocktail drink recipes which use vanilla vodka, ginger beer and lime as the ingredients.

Souce from the website of ifood.tv, the history of Moscow Mule as cocktail drink began since Vodka trend was start in the United States around the year of 1940. Moscow Mule is a cocktaildrink with Vodka and very popular during both summer and winter seasons. The warm ginger beer make Moscow Mule is very perfect drink on winter seasons, on the other side where Lime is refreshing summer drink.

Then what is a ginger beer in Moscow Mule since Indonesia as my country also ginger producer in the world? A ginger beer actually is a carbonated drink that is flavored primarily with gingerand sweetened with sugar or other artificial sweeteners. Ginger beer is not alcoholic drinksince the recipe of ginger beerwhich originated in Englandin the mid 18th century just content ginger, sugar, water, lemon juice and a fungal-bacteria symbiote.

As my hope it can be good information for all expat that living in Jakartatoday, or maybe for the reader  who have a plan to visit Indonesia, if there is some drink recipealso as traditional drink recipe of Betawi (Jakarta Origin People) that maybe will close like a ginger beer as the ingredients of Moscow Mule, the name is Bir Pletok. What the recipe of Bir Pletok? Why this ginger beer having the name as Bir Pletok?
