Coronary heart disease and carrots benefits

Carrot small pieces considered as great source of a lot of vitamins and useful minerals for human body, such Vitamins including Vitamin A (as β-Carotene, Carotenoids), B6, C, K, in addition to Folate, Pantothenic acid and minerals like Potassium which help Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease, thus

Carrots Play a role in low density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation to the atherosclerotic process which approved the examination of β-carotene as a possible preventive agent. Several epidemiological studies show an inverse association between serum/adipose β-carotene levels and coronary heart disease risk. after undergoes clinical tests, however

Epidemiological evidence of Carrots in reducing risk factors of CHD:Other carotenoids that are correlated with β-carotene both in the diet and in the blood might be important factors, as might other plant-derived compounds. Alternatively, low serum carotenoid levels may reflect either increased lipoprotein density or the presence of inflammation, both factors emerging as important novel risk factors for coronary heart disease. Whereas the trial results support no preventive role for β-carotene, the epidemiological evidence does generally support the idea that a diet rich in high carotenoid foods is associated with a reduced risk of heart disease.

Neuronal Control of Appetite, Metabolism and Weight

Last week, I attended a Keystone conference, "Neuronal Control of Appetite, Metabolism and Weight", in Banff. Keystone conferences are small, focused meetings that tend to attract high quality science. This particular conference centered around my own professional research interests, and it was incredibly informative. This post is a summary of some of the most salient points.

Interpretation of nutrition content and influence on incidence of coronary heart disease:

Hence the CHD developed from accumulated LDL in blood vascular, and hence the LDL is the main responsible factor in blood clotting disorders, and major lipoprotein affect heart and cause inflammation.
The vast majority of barely contain Fatty content ranged from 0.00 upto 75 grams while the daily allowed fats about 65 Grams, that tell us you are safe of heart attacks when taking barley products.

Is barley good alternative for drugs of coronary heart disease?

Due to great Fibre content of Barley it could be a good alternative medicine because the viscous fiber in barley also has a lower glycemic index, which promotes slower digestion and this might reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems. Patients who ate low-glycemic viscous fiber such as barley demonstrated significant decreases in total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol.

Coronary heart disease and beef stew recipe

Beef Stew types have a big mixture of foods that consists of Fats, Fibers, and Carbohydrates that have a high dietary values, but the question now is; Does Beef Stew contents cause Coronary heart disease?
Before we start let's have some Facts about Beef Stew and Coronary heart disease.

Can beef stew recipe cause coronary heart disease?
According to WHO limits and The American Heart Association (AHA) recommendations of Lipids in human body:
Total cholesterol
(U.S.and some other countries)
Desirable: Below 200 mg/dL
Borderline high: 200-239 mg/dL
High: 240 mg/dL and above

LDL cholesterol
(U.S.and some other countries)
Below 70 mg/dL         Ideal for people at very high risk of heart disease
Below 100 mg/dL       Ideal for people at risk of heart disease
100-129 mg/dL           Near ideal
130-159 mg/dL           Borderline high
160-189 mg/dL           High
190 mg/dL and above Very high
your target LDL may be below 100 mg/dL (2.6 mmol/L)

Triglycerides
(U.S.and some other countries)
Below 150 mg/dL       Desirable
150-199 mg/dL           Borderline high
200-499 mg/dL           High
500 mg/dL and above Very high

A high risk of heart disease (including Coronary artery disease)begin when LDL elevated above normal level (i.e. 170 mg/dL), So that 35 mg of beef stew and some another grams of fats will not affect healthy people nether in patients with heart disease especially coronary artery disease will not be at risk of heart attack of high Fat and CHO ingredients because the allowed levels of total fat is 65 grams.

Coronary heart disease and Margarine intake

Having margarine in your dietary meals should not be a reason of Heart inflammations that lead to heart diseases especially coronary artery thrombosis, margarine dose not have any cholesterol content since it made fro vegetable Oils, and here why I said that.

Nutrition content of margarine:
there are 75 calories in 1 tablespoon of Margarine.
Calorie breakdown: 100% fat, 0% CHO, 0% protein.
Nutrition facts of other types of Margarine:
Margarine (Regular, 80% Fat with Salt, Tub)
Margarine (Fat Free, Tub)
Margarine (Vegetable Oil, 20% Fat)

Role of margarine intake on incidence rate of coronary heart disease:
An study calculated Coronary heart disease cumulative incidence rates by applying dietary margarine intake of age 45-64 years and free of Coronary heart disease, and found ratios over 21 years of follow-up. Mean energy intake was 2,619 kcal; mean margarine intake was 1.8 (range 0-12) tsp per day. There were 267 incident cases of CHD.

Nutrition facts about margarine Products:
  1. Margarine consists of hydrogenated vegetable fats with water (emulsion), sometimes contains skimmed milk and called oleomargarine
  2. Traditional Margarine has a minimum fat content of 80%,
  3. Margarine contains many saturated fats and oils where the Vegetable fats can contain between 7% and 86% saturated fatty acids. Liquid oils (canola oil, sunflower oil) tend to be on the low end, while tropical oils (coconut oil, palm kernel oil) and (hydrogenated) oils
  4. Typical soft tub margarine contains 10% to 20% of saturated fat. Regular butterfat contains 52 to 65% saturated fats.
  5. Sunflower, safflower, and olive oils contain high amounts of unsaturated fats. Solidification of margarine may requires addition of some saturated or trans-fats.
  6. Several large studies have indicated a link between consumption of high amounts of Trans fat and coronary heart disease, and possibly some other diseases
  7. Plant sterol esters or plant stanol esters have been added to some margarines and spreads because of their cholesterol lowering effect. Several studies have indicated that consumption of about 2 grams per day provides a reduction in LDL cholesterol of about 10%.
Influence of different fatty acids in margarine and Cholesterol Proteins on Heart arteries

How margarine increase incidence rate of heart diseases and CHD?
1. Fatty acids increase the cholesterol level in the blood due to increasing of both LDL and cholesterol in the blood serum and thus great fortunes to cardiovascular diseases
2. Consumption of unsaturated fatty acids has been found to decrease LDL cholesterol levels and increase HDL cholesterol levels in the blood, thus reducing the risk of contracting cardiovascular diseases.
3. There is a positive linear trend between trans fatty acid intake and LDL cholesterol concentration, and therefore increased risk of coronary heart disease, by raising levels of LDL cholesterol and lowering levels of HDL cholesterol.
4. Fatty acids deposits gradually clog the arteries and causes thrombosis. Thus will lowering blood stream to brain and tissues. The human body producing about 1g of cholesterol each day or 80% of the needed total body cholesterol by Liver the remaining 20% comes from food intake.
5. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration states that healthy people should not consume more than 300 mg of cholesterol each day, so no need to more cholesterol in dietary meals, while most margarine contains no cholesterol since it vegetable-made. While 100 grams of butter contains 178 mg of cholesterol.

Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is the main Lipid protein that causes narrowing in Blood vessels, as LDL increases the risk of heart attacks increase due to coronary artery heart disease as long term increasing of LDl-cholesterol.

Baked beans (Pies) or various soups such as Senate bean soup found to be good factor in decrease Total cholesterol Levels (<200 mg/dl) so the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol will be low (LDL-cholesterol Normal range from 65 – 160 mg/dl)
Navy beans allow blood transport freely due to low content of fat and lipids, which make our lipo-gram in blood low.

Why navy beans grains are considered a best alternative to heart drugs?
